About me
I’m a psychotherapist in the final stage of professional training with the Karuna Institute, which was one of the first teaching centres for Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy in the UK. I am registered with the UKCP (UK Council of Psychotherapists) and the ACPP (Association of Core Process Psychotherapists) as a trainee member. I have been in private practice since 2023. Previously, I have provided psychotherapy under an NHS London service, and I have prior experience supporting people in other mental health settings.
I work under a clinical contract with the Karuna Institute and adhere to their code of ethics and working practices, along with those of UKCP and ACPP. I attend weekly personal therapy and am committed to ongoing professional development. Having walked my own path of deep self-exploration over many years, I understand the courage it takes to turn inward – and the frustrations often associated with feeling stuck in a place of suffering.
In addition to my private psychotherapy practice, I also currently offer counselling in an agency setting. In my work I draw on a range of therapeutic theory, and my training is trauma-informed.
I have experience and interest in supporting people with a wide range of issues, including:
Complex trauma (CPTSD)
Relationship and attachment difficulties
Neurodiversity
Anxiety, stress and depression
Childhood emotional neglect and trauma
Range of issues faced by LGBTQIA+ community
Lack of purpose, loneliness, spiritual emergence
Addictive and avoidant behaviours
Prior to my training in psychotherapy, I had a career in financial technology and regulation, and I bring an understanding of the effects of corporate environments on wellbeing. I moved into therapeutic work following several years of enquiry and of coming into better relationship with my own inner landscape and sense of purpose.
I am supported holistically by my contemplative and movement practices, and my close relationship with nature. I am on a continuing personal journey of exploring methods of expanding awareness and how these can support us towards transformation and growth, including meditation, yoga and breathwork, sacred plant medicine, tantra, and shamanic work.
My aim is to support you with mindfulness-based psychotherapy to deepen your own self-knowledge and innate wisdom, allowing for the emergence and expression of your inner truth.
